I'm thinking of getting the Steam version, but before I do, I need to know one thing: is there a difference?

Technically the current Steam build is slightly newer (1.0.49) than what's available elsewhere, but I will push 1.0.49 live everywhere else on Monday.

Other than temporary version discrepancies, the Steam version is fundamentally the same as every other version of the game. The only real difference is the Steam version has achievements. Of course, I plan on making the achievements available as a native in-game feature for the other builds shortly, too. That's probably a few patches away as I need to build an interface, etc, for it, but you get the idea.

So in short - no, not really, there's not a real difference.

Are all the keys sent yet? I ask because I know I'm much later on the list than most. I sifted through my spam folder a few times today, and now I feel like I need to take a shower.

I'm also a little concerned about the Steam key - I haven't received mine yet. I bought the game back in January - were they sent out in purchase order?

Hey all!

Steam keys should be sent out now, but since we did it via mass-mail, this was a bit of a learning process, and I'm sure some of them just didn't make it through.
All the keys should be mailed out by now. If you didn't get yours, it means it probably got lost in the mail, you're checking the wrong email address, or your spam filter is overly aggressive and deleted it outright.

If you're one of those unfortunate souls, send an email to leveluplabs [at] gmail [dot] com with some relevant order information, and I'll look up your steam key and send it to you.

1) The original email address you ordered from
2) Your order number
3) Your name

#1 is the most useful and often enough, but if you don't remember which email you used, give me 2 and 3 and that's usually enough to find it.

Hello there.

Just registered to say thanks for the Steam key. I'm sure it was a bit awkward to send them all out and it really wasn't necessary but the pedant in me likes having all my games in one place. So I appreciate it, and of course I love the game itself and have gotten hours and hours of enjoyment from it. I look forward to anything else you add to it.

Thank Heavens that i just coincidentally looked into my Spam Forlder... i have no idea how the Mail got there -.-
But how can i Add the game now to my Steam account with the Key?
In the Buy menu is no option to use a Code or something, or am I missing something there?

There should be an "add a game" button somewhere (at the bottom left, if I recall correctly).

It's "Games -> Activate a Product on Steam..."

But yeah, there is an "+ add a game" button bottom left... will never find out if that would have worked as well ^ ^

Damn i should have came here to read this thread sooner...
I was wondering why i never got my key it seem like it was sent to my spam mails and i use hotmail they delete spam mail after 7 days.
Is there any way to get the key again ?

and give me some details from your order, so I can look up your keys and send them to you.

Usually the original email you ordered from is enough, but if you don't have that some other details, like your full name, or the order number, can help me locate your order.
