The Adventures of Wren+

"The Adventures of Wren" is a 2-map campaign for "Heroes of might and magic 3" made by Jorgen Linde. In 2008 I created an update to this campaign and called the updated campaign "The Adventures of Wren+". I didn't manage to contact with the original author.

In uploaded file there are all files of the original campaign and the updated campaign. 2nd scenario is much easier than the original one.

You should find (download) somewhere the PC game "Heroes of might and magic 3" with "Shadow of death" add-on.

The sequence of publishing -

"Heroes of might and magic 3" "Restoration of Erathia"
"Heroes of might and magic 3" "Armageddon's Blade"
"Heroes of might and magic 3" "Shadow of death"
"Heroes of might and magic 3" "Heroes chronicles"
"Heroes of might and magic 3.5-3.58f" "In the wake of gods" - unofficial add-on.

I think "Heroes chronicles" and "In the wake of gods" will be suitable too.

And how can we install the files, I already downloaded Heroes of Might and Magic.

Download "The Adventures of Wren +.zip".

Unzip it. Get "The Adventures of Wren +" folder. Open it. Copy files "The Adventures of Wren.h3c" and "The Adventures of Wren +.h3c" into "Maps" directory of the game "Heroes3". All other files are html text you may keep them in any folder. Your game directory may be named "Heroes3", "Heroes3ab", or maybe different.

At my computer path to "Maps" folder C:\Program Files (x86)\3DO\Heroes3\Maps . At your computer "Heroes3" maybe installed in other folder but anyway you should find directory "Maps".

Then click desktop icon of "Heroes3" or find file "heroes3.exe" or "h3wog.exe" or maybe some other file in the game directory and run it. There are several versions of "Heroes3". They intall themself into different folders, they may call the game folder a little bit differently but they as a rule create a desktop icon. But each version has it's own picture of the icon.

Running the game click "New game", "Campaign", "Custom". Then click "The Adventures of Wren" or "The Adventures of Wren +".

nwcredpill - Immediate victory, ranks you a "Cheater!!!" in the "Land" column.
nwczion - Build all buildings in your castle including the grail building.
nwctrinity - Hero gets 5 Archangels in each empty army slot.
nwcagents - Hero gets 10 Black Knights in each empty army slot.
nwclotsofguns - Hero gains all war machines (Ballista, First Aid Tent, Ammo Cart).
nwcthereisnospoon - Hero gets spell book, all spells and 999 current spell points.
nwcneo - Hero gains 1 level-up.
nwcnebuchadnezzar - Hero gains unlimited movement.
nwcfollowthewhiterabbit - Hero gains maximum luck for the rest of the game (shows "Cheater! +maximum" in the luck menu).
nwcmorpheus - Hero gains maximum morale for the rest of the game (shows "Cheater! +maximum" in the morale menu).
nwcoracle - Reveals the grail puzzle map.
nwcwhatisthematrix - Reveals the whole map.
nwctheconstruct - Gives 100.000 gold and 100 of each other resource.
nwcignoranceisbliss - hides world map.
nwcbluepill - Immediate loss.

When playing a game press TAB, type the CODE and press ENTER.

About the game itself. "Heroes3" was published in 1999-2000 and now it's much easier to find free download than to find non-free one.

It's not hard at all to find HOMAM3 - and it's definitely worth the 10 bucks, DRM free and whatnot. One of the best games I know. (and it's the only one I wrote a big guide for)

"Palm heroes" just copied "Heroes2" not even "Heroes3".
