James Cavin is the lead writer for the project. His responsibilities include designing the backstory, writing all the dialogue, and designing the characters' appearances.
Lars is the lead programmer and artist for the project. His day job is as a freelance game design consultant and programmer. His past games include Super Energy Apocalypse and CellCraft. He blogs at Fortress of Doors and Gamasutra.
Anthony is the lead gameplay and level designer in the project, as well as assistant programmer. His day job is developer relations manager at Kongregate.com. Outside of a few tiny personal projects, his game development cred comes primarily from directing and assisting in programming the smash hit educational game CellCraft.
Kevin is the game's musician and composed the Defender's Quest Original Soundtrack. Aside from his work at Level Up Labs, he is currently working on Project Phoenix alongside legendary Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.
Karen is an illustrator working in the San Francisco Bay area. She freelances as a digital artist providing whimsical, magical imagery for casual games. The majority of her work is created digitally in Photoshop, Painter, and Illustrator while utilizing her background knowledge of life drawing and painting.
Her work has been featured in many sources in the U.S. and beyond. In the past, she has provided illustration and design for Amaranth Games, PassionFruit Games, Wadjet Eye Games, Gamenauts and more.
Tyvon J. Thomas
Tyvon is a professional pixel artist, ambient composer, independent game developer, idea guy, and concept artist from Las Vegas, Nevada. He specializes in sidescrollers, character design, animation, and special effects.
He has worked on games like Skullgirls, Telepath Tactics, Thor: God of Thunder, NightSky, and many others.
